VIRGINIA BEACH-- High school students in Virginia Beach will find their school day to be a little  longer starting next school year.

School board members voted 10-1 on the issue Tuesday night.

The School Board is adding 15 minutes to the school day in order to help more students perform better while also giving them time for lunch.

This would not affect the length of the school day for elementary and middle schoolers, but their bus schedules would need to adjust to the high school schedule.
