VIRGINIA BEACH (AP) -- Virginia Beach has recorded its third straight year of increased lodging revenue.
The Virginian-Pilot reports that lodging revenue in 2012 was nearly 8 percent higher than in 2011. Sales from hotels, vacation home rentals and campgrounds topped $301 million.
Citywide restaurant and amusement sales also increased, according to a news release from the city.
