VIRGINIA BEACH -- Two people have been arrested in connection with a string of vehicle larceny cases in Virginia Beach.
The burglaries took place in the 4200 block of Link Court around 4 a.m. Monday, according to MPO J.C. Cason with the Virginia Beach Police Department.
Officers were called to the neighborhood where it was reported that a group of young men were seen going into vehicles.
When officers arrived on scene, the group fled on foot. Police managed to track down and arrest two suspects a short time later.
One of the suspects has been identified as Tiquan Lovell Speller, 18, of Norfolk. Speller is being held in the Virginia Beach City Jail without bond.
The second suspect is a juvenile, Cason said.
Police believe at least 30 vehicles were tampered with, or stolen from. It is unclear if these cases are connected to the string of vehicle larcenies in the nearby Woodscape subdivision. The investigation is still underway.
