VIRGINIA BEACH -- For the next week you have the opportunity to see some amazing works of art built out of sand.
The 39th Annual Virginia Beach Neptune Festival returns to the oceanfront and part of the festivities is the North American Sandsculpting Champioship.
An international field of 32 sculptors representing 10 countries have created some incredible pieces that will be available for viewing from September 28th through October 7th.
The price for admission is $3 per person and children 12 and under are free.
Aside from the sculptures, the Neptune Festival will have live music from more than 30 bands, fireworks Saturday night, as well as Neptune's Surfing Classic and Neptune's 8K and 5K run throughout the weekend.
13News Chaser Jason Walsh got a sneak peek Friday morning of the creative and detailed finished works found in Neptune's Kingdom: The Land of Sand.
