Push-ups will pump up efforts to help for wounded warriors

NEWPORT NEWS - Doing push-ups for 90 seconds will have a much longer impact on wounded military veterans. 

Push-ups for Charity is Saturday, May 18 at Revolution Fitness Club in Newport News and Hampton Roads Adventure Boot Camp in Va Beach.

It's part of the nationwide "The Boot Campaign," a non-profit agency operating five programs for vets: jobs, housing, family support, urgent assistance and wellness.

Last year, Push-Ups for Charity raised $300,000 for veterans with physical and/or emotional wounds. The goal this year is to raise $1 million.
