Lynnhaven Pkwy. Bank Robbery
VIRGINIA BEACH -- A suspected bank robber didn't get far after he allegedly held up a bank Saturday morning in Virginia Beach.
Police say an officer on patrol saw a suspicious man enter the Wells Fargo branch at 675 Lynnhaven Parkway just after 9:00 a.m. Saturday.
The officer called for back-up and waited outside. Police say when the suspect ran out of the bank, a second officer chased the man down in a nearby wooded area.
Police say the man entered the bank, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. As he left the bank, he spotted the officers and fled into the wooded area, according to police.
The suspect was identified as 19-year-old Aaron Jon Allen, no known address. He is being held without bond in the Va. Beach jail.
