VIRGINIA BEACH -- Police are investigating a man's death after finding his body outside a home Saturday morning.
Investigators say that officers were conducting a traffic stop near Bob Lane and Southern Blvd. around 1:20 a.m. Saturday morning.
The driver and the passengers in the car took off running after pulling over into a nearby field.
Officers on scene called a K-9 unit to assist in the search for the driver and the passengers.
Around 2:30 am the K-9 unit discovered an unconcious man on the porch of a home in the 1800 block of Ego Drive. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson with the Virginia Beach Police Department says that the body had no visible wounds.
Investigators are still trying to figure out if the body found on Ego Drive has anything to do with the traffic stop on Bob Lane.
Police have not identified the victim.
