VIRGINIA BEACH -- Emergency crews responded to the scene of a crash involving a motorcyclist at the Oceanfront Tuesday.

According to Virginia Beach Police spokeswoman Tonya Borman members of the fatal crash team responded to16th Street and Pacific Avenue around noon.

Investigators say a man driving a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound on Pacific Avenue when the driver of a 1998 Honda Prelude traveling northbound turned into his path.

The motorcyclist swerved in an attempt to avoid the collision, but impacted the front of the Honda, Borman said.

Angeline Venus Kintanar, 19, of Virginia Beach was driving the Prelude and has been charged with failure to yield.

Neither speed nor alcohol are factors in this crash.

Borman says the motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
