VIRGINIA BEACH -- Tuesday night's storm is going to be costly for some people.

Heavy winds blew a tree onto a truck parked on Holly Court in Virginia Beach.

The truck's owner says he heard a loud crash after winds started picking up around 8 p.m.

It wasn't until he came outside that he saw the damage. An SUV in the driveway was also damaged, but not totaled.

"I could see the tree cross over the fence, laying on the truck," said Neil Kunzler. "The winds suddenly picked up."

The storm also took out a power line on Indian River Road near Elbow Road.

Dominion Power crews dealt with power outages throughout the night.
