VIRGINIA BEACH -- Police have charged four people in connection with twelve burglaries in the Ocean Lakes area of Virginia Beach.
Police say the crimes took place between August and September.
According to police, a resident reported seeing two people walking through the neighborhood with empty backpacks and then later the same subjects had full backpacks and were carrying laptop computers.
Detectives learned there were a four suspects involved, including two suspects from New York, where they believe the stolen items were to be taken and sold.
Police recovered electronic devices, computers and jewelry.
Police have charged 18-year-old Jamie N Edinborough of New York, a 17-year-old juvenile from New York, 19-year-old Jerry Lee Brown of Virginia Beach and 19-year-old Joshua Matthew Edmonson of Virginia Beach.
All four are charged with three counts of breaking and entering, four counts of grand larceny and three counts of conspiracy to commit a felony.
This case remains under investigation.
