VIRGINIA BEACH –  The family of an elderly Virginia Beach couple murdered in their home is speaking about their heartbreak.

80-year old Eugene McNeely and 84-year old Mary McNeely were found dead inside their home on West Colonial Parkway on Tuesday night.

Thursday, some of the couple’s children and grandchildren gathered together..

“This hurts so bad. No more birthdays, no more Christmases, no more hearing from them every day.  I wish this on nobody,” said daughter Betty Dorsey.

Dorsey and her sister Cathy Spain say their parents were the center of the family.   Dorsey was the first to notice something strange on Tuesday.  Her mother didn’t return her dozens of calls.  She went to check on them and through the window, saw her mother on the floor.

No one has been charged with their murder.  Police are still investigating and have questioned one person about the murders.

The family is struggling to find answers.

"We don't know nothing.  We don't know what happened.  We don't even know how they died," said Dorsey.  "They will not release the house to us or their bodies."

Their daughters say even in their 80's, the couple was always helping others.

"My mother was loving.  One of a kind.  You couldn't have asked for a better mother.  You can believe that she's going to be truly missed."
