VIRGINIA BEACH - Fire broke out Thursday morning at an Oceanfront business.
Crews were called to Jungle Golf at 22nd Street and Pacific Avenue around 7:50 a.m.
Battalion Chief Mike Barakey said crews found heavy smoke and fire in the first floor. He added that a firewall between the first and second floor kept the fire from spreading, but there's smoke damage upstairs.
It took about 45 minutes for the fire to be under control.
The intersection of Pacific at 22nd Street is closed.
"We'll be be here for a while doing overhaul due to void spaces in the building" Battalion Chief Amy Valdez told WVEC.com.
There are no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
