VIRGINIA BEACH-- A newly formed citizen advisory committee for the proposed arena project will hold a public town hall meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 18 to gather input from citizens.
The meeting is from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, located at 1000 19th Street.
The purpose of the meeting is to assess residents' opinions about the possibility of building a sports and entertainment facility near the Oceanfront.
"We want to find out what citizens think about the potential for an arena that would attract major sports events and top-level entertainment to Virginia Beach," said Committee Chair Linwood Branch.
This is the first in a series of conversations the group will have with residents about the proposed project.
Participants will see a presentation about the project and give their feedback.
Branch says the feedback from the meeting will be provided to City Council.
