CAPE CHARLES -- The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel briefly closed Tuesday afternoon as a waterspout was spotted near the span.
The tunnel management tweeted the closure around 12:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued a marine warning that was set to expire at 1:15 p.m. after marine weather spotters reported the possible waterspout near the 4th island.
The bridge-tunnel was closed as a precaution, officials said.
The span reopened just before 1 p.m.
