VIRGINIA BEACH-Car thieves stole four cars from an auction company. They were bold, driving them right off the lot and nearly hitting a security guard on the way out.

The theft at Tidewater Auto Auction was caught on video.

Va. Beach police say six men stole the cars while a crowd of customers waited for the sale to begin.

Mike Hockett says one of the men sized up the cars.

"He gets here, brings the vehicles, brings the guys in,  points out the cars to go get,  and then after they bust the gate.   He simply walks back through our lobby, goes back to his car and drives home," Hockett explains.

The men took a Mercedez, an Acura, and two Lexuses.

He says some of them appeared to be young and inexperienced drivers. Hockett recovered the cars with a few days.

The vehicles were recovered, but the six men responsible are still wanted.

Besides the Crime Line reward, Hockett is willing to pay $500 to $1,000 for information that leads to their arrest and conviction.
