VIRGINIA BEACH-- Police have arrested a man and charged him with the armed robbery of a video store.

Police say they received the call about the robbery around  10:10 a.m.on Friday. at the House of Video in the 6500 block of Providence Road.   

A man entered the business and loitered around while the clerk was tending to a customer.  After the customer left,  the suspect approached the cashier, took out  a handgun and demanded money.  The clerk complied and the suspect left out of the rear door of the business.

With the help of evidence gathered at the scene,  police obtained warrants on Wednesday for Christopher Riley Anderson, 24, of Virginia Beach.  He was taken into custody and is being  held without bond at the Virginia Beach jail on charges of Robbery and Use of a Firearm.  

This case remains under investigation by the Virginia Beach Police Department’s Robbery Squad.
