VIRGINIA BEACH-- A bomb squad was on scene of a suspicious package Friday night at the Whole Foods Market on Laskin Road.

According to police spokesperson, Adam Bernstein, the package was in a shopping cart in the parking lot of the store in the 1800 block of Laskin.

Amy Valdez of the fire department said that employees had noticed a white man pacing in the parking lot and acting in an unusual manner around 5:20 p.m.

When the employees retrieved the empty shopping carts, they noticed a taped up white box in one of the carts.  They decided to call authorities

Police and Firefighters cordonned off the parking lot and called in the bomb squad.  The box was X-Rayed and it was determined there was nothing inside.

It was also found that the man who was pacing never came in contact with the box.
