Update 10/12/13: Laquan Wright was taken into custody on Friday afternoon by US Marshals in Charlotte, North Carolina. Wright is being held at the Mecklenburg County jail until he can be extradited back to Virginia.

CHESAPEAKE --Police are looking for a man they say murdered another man and left his body in a neighborhood Sunday morning.

Laquan Wright, 22, of the 2800 block of Parkside Drive  is wanted  for 1st Degree Murder in connection with the murder of  29-year-old Torrey Smith.

 Police responded to the 2800 block of Parkside Drive just before 6 a.m. Sunday. Officers searched the area and discovered Smith near the Campostella Square Park.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene. Smith's last known address was in the 2400 block of East Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach.

Investigators have not released details about a possible motive in the case.
