VIRGINIA BEACH-Animal Control investigators are looking for help to find the person who abused a chicken found in the road Wednesday afternoon.

The chicken had its legs bound with tape and part of its feathers had been plucked, said Wayne Gilbert with Va. Beach Animal Control.

The two men who rescued it said they spotted it in the 4200 block of Holland Road near the Taco Bell.

Gilbert said Thursday the chicken was resting comfortably in the Animal Shelter’s barn under the care of the City Veterinarian.

No one knows where the chicken came from or who abused it.

Anyone with information can call Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
