NORFOLK -- Walks to End Alzheimer's will take place in Va. Beach, Newport News and Williamsburg later this month.
The South Hampton Roads Walk in Virginia Beach is on October 14; Peninsula Walk in Newport News on October 20; the Williamsburg Walk is October 27.
Walks are held each year in more than 600 communities across the country to raise money to search for a cure to Alzheimer’s disease, the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death. There is currently no way to cure, prevent or even slow the disease.
