Gas line breaks

VIRGINIA BEACH-Va. Natural Gas crews cap leaks and made repairs to lines hit by contractors Friday morning.

The first call came in around 8:15 a.m. about a 2" line being damaged on Kittridge Drive.

The second break was reported around 9:15 a.m. on Lilac Lane.  Authorities closed Monument Drive at Lynnhaven Parkway so crews could make repairs.

At that location, 13News Now saw yellow flags in the ground, indicating that the gas company had marked the area to alert crews to the line.

A marking crew was also doing more marking at the site.

There were no reports that anyone at either location had to be evacuated.
