VIRGINIA BEACH --- Jason Redman is the founder of the Wounded Wear. The organization provides clothing and clothing modifications to wounded American soldiers.
Saturday Redman unveiled a mural by artist Sam Welty, honoring wounded and fallen soldiers.
“We originally talked about hey let’s put this together let’s do something that truly draws people in and when they look at it, it makes them recognize the sacrifice that has made this country what it is,” said Redman.
Redman said the mural is a reminder of the price service members pay for the country’s freedom.
“If we put the ghost of Americas warriors past in the background looking upon our current warriors who are you know are fighting now to preserve everything that the warriors past have built for us,” said Redman.
The mural is located on the Upper Deck Restaurant at 206 16th St. in Virginia Beach.
