UPDATE 12/11:  Some 5,000 wreaths arrived at Nanesmond Storage in Suffolk Wednesday thanks to the efforts of The Horton Wreath Society.

The wreaths will be laid at the headstones of veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice on Saturday, December 14 at Suffolk's Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veteran's Cemetery.

SUFFOLK -- The Horton Wreath Society says all of the 5,000 graves at Suffolk's Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veteran's Cemetery will have a wreath this holiday season.

Last week, 13News Now told you the organization was coming up $15,000 shy in its fundraising effort.

Some vets, it seemed, might not get a wreath.

The groups tells us that viewers were apparently touched by that broadcast and were motivated to send in checks.

The Horton Wreath Society writes, "Through the generous contributions of patriotic donors," every in-ground grave and columbarium row will now get a wreath.

The ceremony takes place December 14 at 9 a.m.
