SUFFOLK-  Four students from Creekside Elementary School suffered minor injuries after their school bus collided with a vehicle in the 4000 block of Ridge Road in Suffolk.

Suffolk Police spokesperson Diana Klink tells 13News Now that an asphalt vehicle was merging, causing a Toyota Rav-4 to collide with the bus.

The Rav-4 had to avoid hitting another vehicle, a dark colored Lexus with dark tinted windows and a blue license cover. That car fled the scene and police are actively searching for it.

51 students were on the bus when the accident happened, around 4 PM Thursday afternoon.  The bus is #224

The four injured students have bumps to the head or knees. Two of them were treated at the scene of the accident. The others were not treated.
