SUFFOLK-- Police arrested a man on Wednesday and charged him with beating a dog to death.
According to police, the incident happened August 13. An officer responded to the 1400 block of Redwood Court to a report of a dog having been beaten to death.
The investigation revealed that an adult female black and white Labrador mix named Kuma had been kicked, stomped, and beaten to death with a cane. Kuma was a family pet.
On Monday, a grand jury returned an indictiment against John Rudolph Babb, 48, charging him with Felony Cruelty to Animals and Maim, Kill, Poison Animal or Fowl.
