Suffolk Gas Leak
SUFFOLK -- Crews responded to a gas leak at the intersection of Bridge and Bennett's Pasture roads in Suffolk around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Police were notified that a gas line had been damaged by a contractor working at the location.
Bennett’s Pasture Road northbound and Route 17 southbound were closed and Bennett’s Creek Shoppes were evacuated.
The Suffolk Public Schools’ bus garage was also notified.
Columbia Gas responded to the scene.
