SUFFOLK -- It was a rude awakening for a handful of people at a Suffolk apartment complex - items had been stolen from their cars.

The crimes in the 1000 block of Belleharbour Circle in the Belle Harbour Apartments were reported on the morning of May 12.

"Four people reported their vehicles had been vandalized and items stolen," said City spokeswoman Diana Klink. "A side window had been broken in each of the incidents."

The thieves ransacked the cars and stole items including touch screen stereo systems and GPS devices.

Investigators believe the thefts occurred between midnight and 6 a.m.

Anyone with information about these thefts can call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
