Stolen metal Suffolk
SUFFOLK- A Suffolk man is accused of stealing from his neighbors.
Police say 40-year-old Ernest Darden stole metal gates, a lawn mower and other items from homes in the 1500 block of Glen Haven Drive between July 27 and August 7. Some metal livestock gates were also taken.
He sold the metal for scrap and got about $84.00, City spokeswoman Diana Klink told WVEC.com.
Darden is charged with 2 counts of Grand Larceny, 3 counts of Stolen Property w/Intent to Sell, 2 counts of Petit Larceny, and 4 counts of Obtaining Money by False Pretenses.
