SUFFOLK - If you've got a sweet tooth, you can likely satisfy it at O'doodledoo's Donuts on Rt. 17 in Suffolk.

It's packed most days but particularly on Saturdays, so it was my job to help owner Reeva Luecke keep up with demand.

The staff creates 120 flavors every six weeks - taste sensations like Candy Corn Sprinkle, Dutch Apple, Tootie Fruitee and Blueberry Pancake and Bacon.

They're hand decorated and as unusual as the store's name.

"O'doodledoos's comes from roosters crowing cock-a-doodle-doo and we just shortened it and it's just O'doodledoo's with a lot of O 's like donuts," Luecke explained.

Luecke says employees Katherine, Trinity, Ginger, Theresa, Kristin and Sara have a lot of fun, but they work hard, too. I knew I had my work cut out for me if I was going to be part of the gang.

"You have to show up. You have to have fun. You have to be able to get along with people and think for yourself," Luecke stated.

And if something goes wrong in the donut-making process?  You have to eat your mistakes, she said.

They all taste good, but the number one seller is Red Velvet Cream Cheese.
