SUFFOLK -- The Suffolk Fire and Rescue Department partnered with Boy Scout Troop 911 to participate in the Wreaths Across America event at the Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery on Saturday.

Firefighters accompanied Troop 911 to the cemetery located at 5310 Milners Road in Suffolk.

Wreaths Across America is a national event that coordinates wreath laying ceremonies at Veteran graves across the country including Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Chief Cedric Scott said, “Our Suffolk firefighters strive to provide good examples of what it means to be a civic-minded individual. I am proud of our personnel who participated in this special event.”
