SUFFOLK -- The Fire Marshal's Office is looking into what caused a fire at a vacant farmhouse Saturday night.

Fire and rescue crews were alerted to a fire in the 800 block of Longstreet Lane just before 8:30 pm. Units arrived shortly after and were able to contain the fire to the front of the two-story farmhouse.

Engines 1, 4 and 7, Tankers 1 and 7, Battalion 1, EMS 1, and Medic 7 responded to the scene.

There were no injuries reported, but police blocked off the roadway for a short time.

No other details have been released about a potential cause of the fire.
