2 injured when car hits tree on U.S. 58 in Suffolk

SUFFOLK -- A car veered off of U.S. 58 around 2:15 a.m. Thursday, hitting a tree near the weigh station.

Police say Ryan Singleton was driving east on Route 58 when his vehicle went off the road and hit a tree near Bob Foeller Dr.

His passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle.

The two were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Charges are pending, police stated.
