SUFFOLK -- A bomb threat was written on a bathroom wall at John Yeates Middle School in Suffolk for the second time in one week, officials said Monday.

According to Suffolk Public School spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw, the school was evacuated around 1:15 p.m. while state police dogs searched the building.

The Fire Marshall gave an "all clear" about 30 minutes later and students were allowed back in the building.

Bradshaw said since school started in September, SPS have received six bomb threats at five different schools - two at JYMS, one at Lakeland High, one at Elephant's Fork Elementary, one at John F. Kennedy Middle and one at King's Fork Middle.

Bradshaw said police charged someone with the Lakeland High verbal threat.

Those responsible face criminal charges, as well as school disciplinary consequences, when found.
