SUFFOLK -- A 15-year-old male was arrested Saturday afternoon just after he had committed his second robbery of the day outside a grocery store in Suffolk.

According to a news release, dispatchers received a call at 3:37 p.m. notifying them that the Subway restaurant at 6550 Hampton Roads Parkway had been robbed of an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers arrived on the scene within five minutes, at which point, an officer encountered the suspect leaving the Food Lion, located near the Subway in the same shopping center, where the suspect allegedly committed an additional robbery, also of an undisclosed amount of money.

We're told the 15 year-old was taken into custody without incident.

A spokesperson said the juvenile was armed with a knife, but that no injuries were reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
