11/8 UPDATE: 22-year-old Michael Dametrius Atkins of the 2200 block of Portsmouth Boulevard in Portsmouth was arrested Thursday and charged with First Degree Murder, Robbery, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.  

UPDATE 10/8:  Police say Reid was last heard from on October 5 around 8 p.m.  Detectives believe somebody may have seen the victim before he was killed and ask that anyone with information call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.

PORTSMOUTH-Police are looking for the person who killed a man whose body was found by the railroad tracks in Portsmouth on Sunday.

35-year-old Anthony Eugene Reid was found in the grass behind some homes on Choate Street just after 8:00 a.m.

Reid, who lived about two miles away on Azalea Avenue in Portsmouth, hadn't been seen or heard from since about 8:00 p.m. Saturday, according to his family.
