PORTSMOUTH--A 17-year-old junior at Norcom High School was arrested after allegedly threatening to bomb the school Friday.
Officials say a teacher asked the student to report to the principal's office, he became agitated and then allegedly stated there was about to be a bombing in the school. Officials say the student then reconfirmed the statement.
He's charged with one count of threat to bomb. Because he is a minor, his identity is not being released.
He appeared before Portsmouth Juvenile Intake and was ordered to remain in the custody of the Chesapeake Juvenile Detention Center until his court hearing.
