PORTSMOUTH--Police say a student at Parkview Elementary school brought a bullet to school Wednesday.
Officers were called to the school around 2:15 p.m after a student reported to a teacher that an 11 year old male student was showing a bullet to others.
Police recovered the bullet and detained the student. He was then turned over to his parents. Charges are pending.
The school was locked down for a short time, allowing officers to conduct a search. No firearm was found at the school.
