PORTSMOUTH-- A jury has decided that Freddie Lee Hall Jr. should spend life in prison for the murder of a Portsmouth businessman.
The victim, James Britt, 49, was last seen by friends on April 11, 2011.
Police went to Britt's Sterling Point home four days later after out-of-town family members asked police to check on him.
Police say the evidence recovered proved he had been killed but a body has never been found.
Britt and Hall had been involved in the used car business.
After a seven-day trial, a jury found Hall guilty of first degree murder.
On April 11, a judge will sentence Hall, exactly two years after Britt disappeared.
