PORTSMOUTH -- A man is in custody after barricading himself inside a flea market bathroom for several hours Saturday morning.

Around 8:43 a.m. officers were attempting to arrest the suspect when he ran inside the building in the 3700 block of Victory Boulevard.

The SWAT team responded to the scene. The Tidewater Community College campus was on lock down as a precaution.

The Victory Boulevard on and off ramps off Interstate 264 were closed to traffic.

No one was inured.
