PORTSMOUTH -- Fire crews put out the second suspicious fire in two weeks early Monday morning at a house that was the scene of a triple homicide two weeks earlier.
Three men were shot to death in the house on the 800 block of Lincoln Street on Friday, July 13, by what authorities believe was a lone gunman who entered the house through the back door.
Then, the first fire was set on the front porch of the house around 12:30 a.m. Monday, July 23.
Now, a second fire was found at the back of the house around 1 a.m. Monday morning.
The second fire was a relatively small blaze, and firefighters were able to put it out before it spread inside the house.
Police have no motives or arrests in any of the incidents at the house.
Authorities have not linked the homicides to either fire, and they have not officially ruled this second fire an arson.
