PORTSMOUTH-Someone smashed the front glass of a Radio Shack in Portsmouth Friday morning and stole cell phones.

Police responded to an alarm at the store at 3929 Victory Blvd. around 5:00 a.m. and officers searched the area of clues that might lead them to the burglar(s).

Det. Jan Clark told WVEC.com that officers are reviewing surveillance camera footage.

Clark said the Family Dollar at 1500 High St. was burglarized in the same way. Around 2:15 a.m, some broke the glass and stole cigarettes. The locations are about 4 miles apart.

No one was hurt in either incident.

Anyone with information about this case should call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
