PORTSMOUTH-Portsmouth Police say there's been a recent spike in the number of home burglaries. Many of the items are ending up in second-hand shops and pawn shops.

 

Four men went to Cash Money Pawn in the 5000 block of Portsmouth Boulevard to try to sell items (jewelry, camera equipment, electronics) taken during two burglaries in June. Authorities believe they're responsible for other thefts as well.
