HAMPTON ROADS -- AAA of Tidewater will offer a way for partygoers to get themselves and their vehicles home safely after their New Year's Eve celebrations.
The Tow To Go program is a free tow home, for one person and their vehicle in the Cities of Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, Yorktown and Williamsburg, VA.
AAA spokeswoman Georgeane Blumling reminds drivers, "You have to remember that when you drink the first thing to go isn't your coordination, it's your judgment."
Drivers should call (757) 631-1700, and say "I need a Tow To Go" to request service.

The Portsmouth Sheriff's Department is also offering free rides to those who have been drinking.
Portsmouth Sheriff Bill Watson says that one of the worst things for an officer is to notify families when their loved one has been killed by a drunk driver. "It's our outlook that we want to get them before they get into a car."
