NORFOLK -- Fire crews removed a woman from a cruise ship Thursday afternoon at Norfolk International Terminal after she developed stroke-like symptons.
The 86-year-old woman was taken to the ship's medical facility, where an emergency tracheotomy was performed.
The ship requested to stop at NIT so the woman could be taken to a hospital.
The ship continued on to its next port of call shortly after the woman was removed.
