NORFOLK --  With winter weather threatening Hampton Roads, the Salvation Army and other services are encouraging the homeless to seek shelter.

"Our biggest concern is the cold," said AC of the Hope Center on 19th street in Norfolk. "We can house as many as 58 men in our shelter in Norfolk." he says.

Breakfast was served this morning at The Hope Center and a meal will be served at 4:30 Thursday afternoon.

Ted Cook spent four days at the Center and said it rescued him right when he needed help.

"I love this place," said Cook
