Deptuies, Virginia State Police and rescue responded to the call and found a vehicle, driven by Charles Beyrod, stopped northbound on the bridge.

Investigators also found visible skid marks that were consistent with a vehicle coming to an emergency stop.

The owner of the Nissan was Beyrod's girlfriend who was also in the vehicle at the time that it stopped on the bridge.
