NORFOLK--Two people have been arrested in connection with a suspected meth lab found in Norfolk Monday.

Police charged 43-year-old Fitzhugh L. Warren III and 19-year-old Ashley Dow with posssession and conspiracy to distribute meth.

Police were called just before 3:00 a.m. Monday to the 1200 block of West Ocean View Avenue.

Spokeswoman Karen Parker-Chesson said officers smelled a strong chemical odor associated with methamphetamine manufacturing when they arrived and Norfolk Fire units were dispatched to conduct an air screening test.

A neighbor at the complex said the two suspects moved in about a month ago.

Warren is also charged with conspiracy to violate the drug control act and premises deemed nuisance.  He remains in the city jail with no bond.
