NORFOLK -- Tropical Storm Andrea is already having an impact on Harborfest weekend.
Thursday night's HarborFEAST is moving indoors next door to Nauticus from Town Point Park.
As for Friday, with the official kickoff of the 37th Annual Norfolk Harborfest, many activities will take place elsewhere.
The Parade of Sail scheduled for Friday at noon has also been cancelled.
Most children’s activities and some stage entertainment, including Katie Balloons, will relocate to The Waterside Festival Marketplace.
National entertainment, including performances by O.A.R., Dirty Guv’nahs and London Souls, will be held inside Scope. The shows will still be free and open to everyone.
Free buses will shuttle guests on Friday between both locations from 4:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and will load and unload guests at the entrance to Waterside Festival Marketplace on Waterside Drive and on Charlotte Street at Scope.
The worst of the storm is expected Friday, says 13News Meteorologist Craig Moeller.
"Friday during the day rain, and the the winds really pick up Friday afternoon and into the early evening," he said. "There might be some pop up storms on Saturday."
Ken Gordon is setting up for the big weekend and says he'll adjust if it comes to that.
