NORFOLK--Police investigated a stabbing early Saturday morning that left four people injured at a downtown business.
Around 12:30 a.m., dispatchers received a call about multiple stabbings in the 200 block of East Plume Street.
When officers arrived they located four adult victims. The suspect had already fled the scene. One person was transported to Sentara Norfolk General. All injuries were considered to be non-life threatening.
Police were able to locate the suspect and take him into custody in the 300 block of Granby Street.
21-year-old Curtis Julius Garrett has been charged with malicious wounding.
A motive in the stabbing is unclear, but investigators determined that an altercation took place inside The Palace on Plume.
It is unclear if a knife was used since a weapon has not been recovered.
A police spokesperson will only confirm that some form of cutting instrument was used to injure the victims.
