NORFOLK--Third District Congressman Bobby Scott announced Thursday that he will host a town hall meeting in Norfolk on the budget deficit and job creation.
The town hall is slated for Monday at 7 p.m. in Norfolk city council chambers.
Joining Congressman Scott to discuss the issues will be Michael Cassidy, CEO and President of The Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis, a nonprofit think tank based in Richmond focused on providing independent research, analysis and public education on budget and tax issues.
The meeting will focus on the President's recommendations for creating jobs and reducing the deficit as well as the recent budget agreement hammered out by Congress.
